Warm Vanilla Almond Milk

If you know anything about me, then you know I’m a huge fan of hot drinks! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I certainly love my fair share of tea and other warm beverages.

I shared my Simple Hot Vanilla Milk recipe a while back. It is so nice to have a go-to warm drink recipe on hand. But, we don’t always have regular milk in the refrigerator!

Many families now days have a carton of almond milk in the fridge, whether it’s for baking with or if a family member is lactose intolerant. Almond milk is great in many different recipes, like my Mixed Berry Overnight Oats or this yummy Lemon Almond Bread! We have some in our fridge right now, and I was craving a warm comforting drink one evening, so I whipped up this little recipe!

Warm Vanilla Almond Milk:

Gather:

1 cup almond milk (I use the vanilla sweetened variety)

1/2 to 1 tsp. sugar

1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

Pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon or nutmeg)

What to Do:

Start by gently heating the almond milk until it is very hot.

Transfer to a mug. Stir in sugar with a spoon until dissolved.

Add vanilla and stir.

Finish with a dash of pumpkin pie spice on top, and enjoy!
