Verses to Cling to During a Busy Week

Hello, hello – Happy Thursday! Only one more day until Friday, and that is something to celebrate, isn’t it? 🙂 I’m really looking forward to some fun plans this weekend. Perhaps that is why this week has felt longer than others this school year. 🙂 Do your weeks ever feel a bit overwhelming – like they loom ahead of you, dropping to-do lists in your path? This happens to me when I think a bit too much and life feels extra big and heavy (whether or not there’s a good reason for it!). Here are the Bible verses I cling to in those moments.

Verses to Cling to During a Busy Week - Just Bee

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace she whose mind is steadfast, because she trusts in You.

Isaiah 51:12-13

I, even I, am He who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mortal men,
the sons of men, who are but grass,
that you forget the Lord your Maker,
who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth?

Psalm 94:18-19

When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
Your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.
When anxiety was great within me,
    Your consolation brought me joy.

Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

My hope is that these verses which bring me solace during the week can offer you some encouragement as well!

  1. these are some of my favorites! life gets like that more often than I should let it — I think being a thinker/day dreamer can make life seem a little more hectic than it ought simply because I’m thinking about it so much haha.

    1. I totally get what you mean, Anna!! That is such a good point! I am definitely a big thinker and even day dreamer so then all of life’s little situations tend to weigh heavy on my mind. I’m glad you enjoy these verses too 🙂

    1. That’s a great idea, Audrey! Thanks for sharing. 🙂 That is a great verse – and what a good idea to post it right by where you work on things!

  2. Man, has it been one of those weeks! We were talking on Tuesday in our small group about how The Word is our sword and of the armor God gives us, it is our only weapon. These verses are perfect for fighting the weariness and the stress that comes at us each day.

    1. Yes! Last week definitely WAS one of those weeks! That is such a good point – thank you for sharing! I need to remember that His Word is totally and exactly what I need to combat the difficult parts of each day!!
