It’s hard to believe it’s August already! Where have these summer months gone? But it’s that time again…
It’s time to plan out and purchase some new fall clothes for Sophie and Soren! I can’t help but be excited because I have a secret weapon when it comes to shopping for my kids’ clothes! (And I want it to be your secret weapon, too!)
If you’ve been around here a while, you’ve probably heard me share about Kidizen. It’s an awesome free app (and website) where you can buy (and sell) new and used clothing and shoes! (And more!) A friend of mine told me about Kidizen back when I was pregnant with Sophie, and I was hooked. (Thank you, Eden!) Since then, Kidizen has proven itself to be a fabulous way to get our kids’ clothes!
Kidizen is where I get like 95% of my kids’ clothes.
Why do I love it so much?
1 // You’re going to buy clothes for your children anyway. You might as well get a good deal!
2 // You’re supporting other mamas, who are selling their kids’ new or used clothing and shoes to support their family.
3 // There are awesome ways to filter your search! I personally love getting gently used pieces for my kids, because they usually only wear them for a short time anyway…BUT, Kidizen has great flexibility because if buying used clothes isn’t your thing, know that you can filter your search results not only by the brand, size, etc. but also by “New With Tags!” And there are always such good deals! Kidizen is truly awesome for anyone!
4 // You can shop from the comfort of your home. Thrift stores can be fun, too, but think of this as a way to do thrift shopping without having to leave the house! I’ve definitely done my share of middle-of-the-night nursing session purchases on the app! The convenience factor is huge for me.
5 // There is something special about connecting with other moms around the country. There have been times I’ve purchased a dress for Sophie for a special occasion, and the mama selling it to me has messaged me and told me a story of her own daughter wearing that dress for a memorable day. It’s so precious to connect with other moms that way. And the mamas who sell on Kidizen are usually quite thoughtful! Oftentimes, our Kidizen packages will arrive with cute stickers tucked in for the kids to play with. <3
At the end of the day, if you want a good deal and if you’ve got to purchase some children’s clothing…you’ll want to try this free app!
