Weekend Links

|

It’s the weekend!! Hooray! It’s been a busy, full week for us here – we’ve got the big county fair going on, some family get-togethers, and my brother stayed with us for a few days, which was a blast. πŸ™‚ Remarkably, I’ve been able to get significantly ahead on my to-do lists, I’ve kept the house clean and organized with few dishes in the sink (it’s the small joys, people!)…and there’s been a whole lot of fun mixed in, too! πŸ˜‰ Summer is such a blessing and such a wonderful time to relax and reset.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a “links” post – here’s what I’ve been loving around the web recently!

One of my very favorite bloggers, Mary Beth, often contributes food posts to The Wiegands. This roasted sweet potato with chickpeas, feta, and cilantro looks so yummy! (PS – Mary Beth has recently begun blogging again under a new site, Rosemary Wild! I am SO excited! πŸ™‚ )

While we’re talking about food… I just HAVE to make this chocolate mint cake!! I’m a bit obsessed with Molly Yeh’s gorgeous food photos, too! πŸ™‚

My friend Rachel writes such good stuff!! I loved her post on how to simplify your life in 15 minutes. πŸ™‚

Something that didn’t really occur to me before we got married was how we’d have to learn the skill of decorating with your other half. A Beautiful Mess covered this topic super well!

Katie at A Place To Dwell recently shared a great post in her “Inspired Season” series: Resources & Inspiration for Singles! Her online space is so bright and happy – but also soΒ real and so inspiring!

Bailey at Brave Love is collaborating with Katie on that awesome “Inspired Season” series, which is “all about finding encouragement and vision for right where you are” – how cool is that?! I so appreciate her and her honest, upbeat voice!

I’m all about gorgeous food photos – I love Samantha’s pics of their recent farmer’s market trip!

Who wants to make tie-dye soap with me?? So cool!

With my teaching job, as well as during student teaching and other field experiences, I’ve worked with a good number of kiddos who live without much. My friend Daisy recently spent time in Ecuador and learned some really neat lessons from kids who live with less.

And there are many, many more links I’d love to share, but it’s definitely time for bed over here πŸ™‚

Have a blessed weekend, friends! For more daily life snapshots over the weekend, come follow along on one of my very favorite media platforms – Instagram!
