Since all of my relatives live outside of Minnesota, and we got married a couple hours’ drive from Bjorn’s family, we had a lot of out-of-town guests staying at the hotel!

We wanted to make sure our out-of-town guests feel loved and appreciated, so we put together welcome bags that were given to our guests when they checked in at the hotel. These bags included things like water bottles, granola bars, a map of the area (and area attractions), the wedding schedule for family members, and a package of Minnesota wild rice with a soup recipe! We tried to be especially attentive to what logistical concerns they may have, as well as add that special Minnesotan touch. 🙂 My dad helped to design the map of the area, and my mom and her friends thoughtfully put together the wild rice recipes and packets.

The welcome bags turned out so cute! Unfortunately, I don’t think we snagged a picture of them…but I wanted to provide you with the template for our welcome bag note! Sometimes, these things seem like such a small project, but then it can get a bit overwhelming trying to come up with the right wording. That’s why I’m taking some of that pressure off of you by giving you the template. 🙂

(I do want to note that even though wedding planning and weddings in general are so special, I want to emphasize marriage most in this online space, because the marriage itself is much more important than the wedding! Click here to access all of the marriage-related posts!)
