Proper Pie Co.

Ever take a bite of pie and wonder if you could just, well…make a whole meal of it?
Us too.

(Remember this picture from earlier? We like pie in this household.)

And thanks to a dear friend of mine who sent me an article of must-try food stops in Richmond, we made that dream come true.

Enter: Proper Pie Co. with its whimsical vibe and delicious eats!!

They’ve got a whole menu of savory AND sweet pies, so when we went there for lunch, we did the logical thing and ordered one of each!

Our savory picks:

I got the Sausage Cheese & Potato pie
and Bjorn chose the Steak & Cheese.

Or maybe it was the reverse? We actually took bites of each other’s pies, murmured our “yum”s and ended up trading. We make a good team. 🙂

Our sweet slices:

I opted for the Mango Coconut Custard
while Bjorn went for the Buttermilk & White Chocolate! Both were amazing!!

And in case you thought all these words were merely an excuse to throw a lot of pie pictures your way…

Hmm. You may be right.

At least let me say this: It’s too great of a place (and these pies are too amazing) to keep quiet about!
Proper Pie Co. is closed for the month of August, but when it opens its doors again on September 3, be SURE to stop by! That lunch was absolutely phenomenal. 🙂
