Our Maternity Photos

| |

At the end of August, Bjorn and I did a mini session with Kaitlyn C Photography in the Twin Cities. I am so, so glad we went ahead and got maternity photos done!

It almost didn’t happen, not only because of iffy weather that evening, but also because of Bjorn’s busy schedule! It’s difficult working around all he’s involved in (though I’m very proud of all he does!). I’ve realized that scheduling things for just myself is super easy compared to working around my husband’s teaching/coaching/farming/army/mayor schedule, haha. It’s hard to get the 2 of us in one place!

However, I really wanted this session because Bjorn tends to take photos of me for the blog (like for this post), but he’s not often in the photos himself. I felt it was important to get the two of us in one frame! Pregnancy is a special, fleeting time, so I especially wanted photos with Bjorn and me together. I’m 35 weeks along now, so technically, baby girl could come at any time! We fit the session in when we were in the Twin Cities for only 20 hours, the night before my baby shower! 🙂

Looking at these photos, it still strikes me as incredible that we’re having a baby!! I always knew I wanted to be a mama, and of course I’ve gotten used to being pregnant these past 8 months, but sometimes it hits me all over again – we are becoming a family of 3!! Bjorn and I are so excited for this whole new adventure.

Here are some of my favorites! (PS — my dress is from Pink Blush Maternity. I love it so much!)

Favorites From Our Maternity Session:

Kaitlyn did such a great job of capturing our relationship during this special season of anticipation! Pregnancy may feel like it lasts forever somedays 🙂 but time really does fly by. We only have 5 weeks left before starting a whole new chapter in our lives! Getting maternity photos was definitely a worthwhile investment, and I know we’ll enjoy these snapshots for years to come. We’re so excited to meet our little girl so soon!

    1. Thank you, Brittany! I’m glad you got a few photos taken – it’s such a unique season of life and it’s fun to celebrate, even when we feel uncomfortable a lot of the time, haha! 🙂
