Our Family’s Favorite Crockpot Meals (11 Recipes!)
It’s been cold for quite a while here in Minnesota! Our good old crockpot comes out every winter (and often stays around for longer than that)! I used to bring it out almost begrudgingly, because while I knew it brought us added convenience, I always felt like slow cooker meals were a bit of a downgrade. I just didn’t like how they all felt like one texture! (Can anyone else relate?) A meal really loses its appeal when it’s all one texture.
But it turns out, I just needed to experiment a lot, try out a lot of recipes, have a few “fails,” and eventually hone in on what we loved! At this point, we’ve really settled into a good collection of delicious slow cooker meals that we turn to again and again, and I’m excited to share those with you today! I know it’s a long list, BUT know that each one of these meal ideas is actually tried and true!
Here are our family’s current favorite crockpot meals!

Our Family’s 11 Favorite Crockpot Meals
Chicken Burrito Bowl Bake // We all really like this one. It’s super easy to make. We like to serve it with avocados and tortilla chips.
Crockpot Chicken Tortilla Soup // I love a good tortilla soup! This one has minimal prep and loves of great flavors.
BBQ Country Style Pork Ribs // I like to serve these delicious ribs with a side of mashed potatoes, corn, french bread, and a salad!
Slow Cooker Taco Spice Chili // I’m always a huge fan of chili. We like to serve chili with Fritos chips!
Balsamic and Honey Pot Roast // Such a delicious roast!
Slow Cooker General Tso’s Chicken // This is a really fun one. I love serving this with a side of rice, oven-roasted frozen broccoli…and, for a special treat, some frozen egg rolls as well!
Easy Crockpot Crack Chicken // “Crack chicken” is always good. This recipe goes really well in hamburger or Hawaiian buns. We served these at my son’s birthday party because they’re such a crowd-pleaser!
Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Crack Chicken Chili // This is a nice variation on “crack chicken,” and I may like it even more! It’s just a really good chicken chili recipe!
Slow Cooker Bacon Cheeseburger Soup // Another great soup.
Slow Cooker Creamy Tuscan Chicken // I’ve seen similar recipes called “marry me chicken.” I usually don’t love sun-dried tomatoes, but chopping them up small in this meal works well and it’s all so good! We serve this on top of mashed potatoes.
Slow Cooker Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken // Another great weeknight meal idea. This one is good on top of pasta, like spaghetti noodles.
