It’s finally October!!! (AKA Baby Month!!) Here’s what I’m looking forward to this month!

What I’m Looking Forward to in October:

I think this first one is fairly obvious… 😉

1 // MEETING OUR BABY GIRL!!!! Well, friends, since BB didn’t come in September, it looks like October is going to be baby month for sure! 🙂 Her due date is October 12th but who knows when she’ll decide she’s ready?! I have a sneaking suspicion she’ll be a bit early, but being a first time mama, I’m not sure. (You can read our most recent pregnancy update here.)

We just cannot wait to meet this precious little soul. We can’t wait to see what she looks like, and who she is! We’re excited to cuddle her, hold her, see those sweet little baby feet that have been kicking me….oh boy. It’s just so exciting to think she could come any day now! I’ll be 39 weeks this coming Thursday, so we’re really getting there. Plus, it’ll be so fun to see Bjorn as a daddy bear. 🙂

BB’s nursery is done and ready whenever she is! 😉 It makes me feel so much better, having all the details and baby essentials put away. Her changing table is ready for diaper changes anytime! 🙂 We have her bassinet set up in our bedroom for those first months, but her crib is all set as well. We even have a white bookshelf in her nursery (thank you to my mom for bringing it down!!) to house baby’s books and a couple other items. My sis-in-law, Signe, helped to set up the electric swing, and we’ve figured out how the pack ‘n’ play works too! Just having the final baby things squared away makes me breathe a sigh of relief!

2 // Having a smooth harvest season! That’s what I’ve been praying for, at least! 😉 October is in the thick of harvest season for farmers, and Bjorn will soon be harvesting our field of soybeans. Please pray for a smooth, safe harvest time – and that everything can get done in a timely fashion, especially with our baby girl arriving in the midst of it all! (Something else I have to admit I’m looking forward to this month – harvest season being over, haha.)

Despite the crazy schedules and weather-dictated tasks that harvest season can bring, it sure is lovely driving past all of the golden fields. It’s beautiful out here, and it’s inspiring to see so many farmers working so hard out in their fields in the fall.

I’m leaving this post at only 2 things, because the focus this month is going to be our new baby! It’s kind of hard to think of a lot more than that. 😉 I know October will be a great month and will be full of fun, special moments that will be fun to share along the way.
