My new favorite quote (+ a reader survey!)

|

Happy Monday, friends!

I wanted to start off the week by sharing one of my newest favorite quotes with you. Someone hung a poster with this quote in our school’s copy room, and it impacted me greatly as I stood there, discouraged, one day last week. You may have heard this one before (it’s by Mother Teresa):

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give them your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It never was between you and them anyway.

Ahh, how I love this! I hope it brings you encouragement as you step out into another week – wherever you are at in life, you can build, be happy, and bring God glory. It’s between you and Him anyway!

Now, on to the reader survey!

I did a brief reader survey quite some time ago, and the responses significantly helped me tailor this blog! Since a lot has changed around this blog since then, I wanted to get another survey going this week.

Please please please, do me a favor and fill out this super quick reader survey below! It will help me “catch up” with you and further clarify the direction and needs of this blogging community! Thank you in advance! 🙂

  1. Wow, such a great quote for encouragement! I love how it ultimately says that it’s all between us and God anyway and that’s such a powerful realization. Thank you for this reminder today. I’m certainly going to remember this! Also, I love the adventure mug! 🙂

    1. 🙂 Thanks, Gina! Yes, it is such a meaningful, important quote to keep in mind. So many times during the day, I find myself feeling it’s between me and others…but we need to remember, it’s ultimately between us and God, our creator! Thank goodness! 🙂 And I will be giving away that mug in an upcoming giveaway soon!!!
