Impromptu “Anniversary” Photos

Bjorn and I have been married for just about 2 and a half years now! It’s crazy to think of life before I married him, before he was my best friend, before I met him.

Since our wedding anniversary is March 29 (2014), we tend to celebrate a little in the month of March but then it’s always fun to wait until warmer weather hits Minnesota before doing some fun photos or other adventures.

I actually really like doing things this way because I’m all about spreading out celebrations as long as we can – aka, belated celebration. 🙂 Just like our summer in Virginia was basically a belated honeymoon, I think it’s totally fun and fine to do anniversary-type celebrations even months later! 🙂

This year brought a crazy summer schedule because of our trip to Europe and army training in Kentucky and more.

So this year, Bjorn and I did a little impromptu “2-and-a-half-years-married” session on one of the final nights of summer. We looked at each other and said, “Let’s do this.” I threw on a new-ish dress and heels and touched up my lip color. He pulled on a polo and nice pants. We threw the camera and tripod and camera remote in the truck and went on a search for the cutest quiet country location to take a few snapshots.

It was a gray-ish moody night, getting dark quickly, and we were getting eaten by mosquitoes…but that didn’t damper things at all. Words cannot describe how much I love this handsome man! Whatever we do together, whether it’s a selfie photo shoot in the middle of nowhere, making dinner together, watching a movie, or traveling the world – life with him is always the perfect adventure!

Here are a few shots from our little impromptu 2-and-a-half-years anniversary shoot. While they may not be perfect, these photos are precious to me because they are part of our story. 🙂
