Farmyard wanderings.
Some days, all you need is a 15-minute space of time to wander-to-nowhere outside – time with no conversation and no distractions other than farm cats tangling at your ankles, goats calling from the barn, and pigeons cooing and circling the silo. Some days, you need to stand still and listen to the restless breeze and re-learn how to breathe deep. Some days, all you need is a lonely walk with mud squishing under your boots and a horse’s nose nuzzling your palm. Time alone, spent in silence and reflection, may be one of life’s most precious and under-appreciated gifts.
Where are your favorite wandering-grounds? Where do you find space to hide from the day, think your thoughts and breathe deep?
