Sophie turned 3 on October 16! It's hard to believe she's been a 3-year-old for a month already. Where has the time gone? Like we do every year, we had an early birthday party for Sophie (her birthday falls right in the middle of our busy harvest season around here!). But it's still just as special - plus, I'm of the opinion that having your birthday party on a different day than your birthday just spreads the celebration out more! How fun! :) Celebrating a couple weeks later on her actual … [Read more...]
Simple Toddler & Baby Easter Baskets
It's hard to believe we're getting close to Easter already! I think everyone's timelines (and calendars) feel a bit off lately, due to the coronavirus and the unique situation of being at home almost all the time. However, even a global pandemic won't stop us from celebrating Easter - even if it does have to look different this year. For the past couple years, I've done an Easter basket for our daughter, Sophie. She's just about 2 and a half now, so this year will be her third Easter basket. … [Read more...]

DIY St. Patrick’s Day Sensory Bottle
This is our second sensory bottle post! Sophie and I have really gotten into sensory activities lately. It all started when I picked the date to officially begin potty training. With the method we were using, I knew we'd have to stay home for potentially days on end, so I wanted to have fun new activities and projects to do with my daughter! DIY “Frozen” Themed Sensory Bottle
Sophie and I have really gotten into sensory activities lately! It all started when I picked the date to officially begin potty training. With the method we were using, I knew we'd have to stay home for potentially days on end, so I wanted to have fun new activities and projects to do with my daughter! Side note: I've heard other parents remark that potty training times can really help you reconnect and bond with your busy toddler all over again, and I can relate. I felt like Sophie and I … [Read more...]
14 Lovely Children’s Books for the Enneagram 4 Parent (+ for the poetic side of all of us!)
The idea for this post has been bouncing around in my head for a while! I love children's books so much (we're huge book lovers in this family!) and I've also been enjoying the Enneagram lately. Combine the two topics, and you have today's post! If you haven't heard of the Enneagram yet, it's a framework for understanding the 9 different personality types. I started learning about it a little "late to the game" (it's been pretty trendy for a while now!). I've honestly found it to be quite … [Read more...]

If you've followed me on Instagram for a while, then you've probably heard me mention Kidizen! :) Oh, Kidizen.
