Whew! What a blur these last few months have been! Back when I was pregnant with Sophie, the pregnancy updates were a lot more frequent and timely! ;) But now I'm chasing around a busy toddler and our schedule has been quite full lately, so it's taken even longer for me to get around to blogging! In today's post, I'm going to share some of the basic highlights (and some of the more difficult things, I suppose) from the first trimester this time around! (PS - in case you missed it, here's our … [Read more...]
Some exciting news!
I'll let Sophie spill the beans... :) We're excited to announce that we're becoming a family of 4!! Thank you, God, for this precious gift! Baby #2 is due at the end of November and we can't wait to meet our little one! I'll share more in future blog posts, but right now I'm just enjoying the fact that I'm in the second trimester now and feeling much better! :) … [Read more...]

May really hasn't flown by for me this year...but still, now that we've concluded the month, I'm finding myself surprised that June is here! It was in the 50s when I started writing this post, but eventually we did get hit with some truly summery weather! :) I've been collecting a list all month long of my favorites, and I'm excited to share them with you today! May 2019 Favorites Note: some links in this post may be affiliate links, which means I'd receive a tiny commission if you … [Read more...]

Our Daily Routine
It's high time for another daily routine post! :) The last time I shared a full daily routine was last April, when Sophie was 6 months old! I had been aching for some semblance of predictability - I find comfort in schedules - and I'm happy to say we settled into a great daily rhythm for a long time. However, one of the major components of raising littles is change, and change has certainly happened! Solveig is just about 15 months old now and our days look a lot different from when I shared … [Read more...]
My 2019 Goals & Aspirations
Now that the new year is in full swing, I'm finally sharing the goals I've got for 2019! These have been bouncing around in my mind for a while now (probably ever since December), and it's time to get them recorded! Last week, I heard that only 8% of people with New Year's resolutions will carry them through till the next year. Yikes! I want to keep them, and I want this year to be focused on general wellness and ways I can be honoring God and taking good care of myself. While I understand … [Read more...]
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!! I’m a sucker for fresh starts. I love making goals and to-do lists, I love looking ahead, and I love that spark of ambition that comes with a new dream. Actually, to be honest, September always feels like more of a fresh start to me than January does, since I visualize every year in terms of school years (that’s what happens when you’re a teacher and you’re also married to one!). But on this sunny January 1st, I’m feeling extra hopeful and motivated. The past year was … [Read more...]
That Time I Remembered Why I Blog
We're visiting my parents for part of the holidays this year. This morning, while Sophie was resting, I snuck off to Target and Starbucks for a couple errands. (I love this, because at home we live over an hour away from both a Target and Starbucks...so this feels downright luxurious!) I had a bit more time without Sophie along for the ride, and I found myself wandering the baby aisles anyway, staring at darling little newborn socks and cute sleeper sets. I glanced over and a woman near me was … [Read more...]
