I'm excited to share today's post with you because it involves one of our very favorite snacks! We make these all. the. time. In our family we call these "yummy balls" and it's basically an emergency when our stash runs out! :) I've shared these already over on my Instagram, but I wanted to make sure the recipe was accessible here, too. I know there are many energy balls or energy bites recipes out there. But my favorite has to be this one, because this recipe - while still kind of sugary - … [Read more...]

DIY St. Patrick’s Day Sensory Bottle
This is our second sensory bottle post! Sophie and I have really gotten into sensory activities lately. It all started when I picked the date to officially begin potty training. With the method we were using, I knew we'd have to stay home for potentially days on end, so I wanted to have fun new activities and projects to do with my daughter! RELATED READING: DIY "Frozen" Themed Sensory Bottle We started out by making a "Frozen" movie themed sensory bottle, which was a big hit! (Sophie … [Read more...]
My Postpartum Favorites The Second Time Around
I love this kind of blog post. I always find it interesting to read what other moms have found helpful (or even essential!) with their kids. DIY “Frozen” Themed Sensory Bottle
Sophie and I have really gotten into sensory activities lately! It all started when I picked the date to officially begin potty training. With the method we were using, I knew we'd have to stay home for potentially days on end, so I wanted to have fun new activities and projects to do with my daughter! Side note: I've heard other parents remark that potty training times can really help you reconnect and bond with your busy toddler all over again, and I can relate. I felt like Sophie and I … [Read more...]
Ham, White Cheddar, & Broccoli Quiche
Bjorn and I came up with this quiche recipe one day when he was home from school during a blizzard! I suppose another name for this could be "Snow Day Quiche," because now we've made it on two separate occasions when we've been cooped up inside due to the winter weather! :) We've had crepes before that involved ham, cheese, and broccoli, and it's such a winning combination. The flavors work beautifully together in a quiche as well! (And the white cheddar adds a lot!) This quiche makes a great … [Read more...]
Valentine’s Day Love Bug Footprint Craft
'Tis the season again! I have such fun doing little crafts like these with my kids for the holidays. I'm not generally a very crafty person, but a DIY handprint or footprint craft always seems feasible enough! I've found that if I'm intentional about the materials, the set up, and the clean up, then it's doable and fun! This year, Sophie and Soren and I made little "Love Bugs" valentines! These only required the kids getting paint on one foot, so it was workable and enjoyable for all of … [Read more...]
