Focusing more on photography these last couple years has really changed the way I look at the world. I find I’m constantly watching for those perfectly sweet, simple, magical little moments — and honestly, looking for those snapshots (whether I have a camera in hand right then or not!) has made everyday life so much more special!
If I had to choose one specific thing I’m really trying to improve in, it’s capturing light.
I’m a bit obsessed with light at this point. 🙂
Have you heard of Summer Murdock? She is an incredible photographer!! (Follow her on Instagram for amazing inspiration!) I try my best to take my cues from her; she just captures the most magical (there really is no other word for it) photos. And she really builds these beautiful snapshots off of her knowledge and eye for lighting!
I’m trying to keep myself accountable in growing this way, so I wanted to start sharing my own “capture the light” snapshots here! It’ll be a fun way to keep track of how I’m growing in my photography — there is always so much more to grow in — and maybe it’ll inspire you in your photography as well!
(Oh, and the ones OF me are taken by my dear husband Bjorn!! I can’t take all the credit! I just worked on editing them to my liking 🙂 )
